Lomi-Lomi-Nui, the hawaiian temple-oil-massage, goes down deeply into the tissue, where a lot of old and new tensenesses live. Lomi-Lomi-Nui can directly respond to missing balances by equalizing and therewith loosen tensenesses and blockades, which can come from all kinds of experiences, accidents, stress and old thinking patterns.By relaxing deeply, finding and feeling yourself in a new way, Lomi-Lomi-Nui also offers the possibility to let go of old experiences and patterns of conducting as well as gives space for new practises. After this kind of massage even the worst experiences look better!
This massage connects all regions of your body and gives you the feeling of deep secureness into yourself. After a couple of minutes the muscles start loosening, the spirit starts relaxing and all disturbing thoughts disappear. Lomi Lomi Nui has the meaning of
"massage from the centre of your being"
This massage originates in the old hawaiian Shamanic art of living.
Without having it experienced yourself you can hardly put Lomi Lomi Nuiinto words. You will have the feeling of "coming home". It is an integrated massage with deep effect. You just cannot compare Lomi Lomi Nui with other massage techniques.It is a mixture of prayer, breathing and energy with a selection of massage grips to loosen pile-ups inside the body.
Lomi Lomi Nui takes place in a warm, pleasant atmosphere and is accompanied by sonorous music. By using a lot of natural massage oil Lomi Lomi Nui always is in a state of flux.In your body are both soft and deep feelings, like the waves of the surf. Lomi Lomi Nui is the wave which holds the body softly, rotates it, hugs it pleasantly and presses and keeps stroking over your body lengthy and in harmony. This is possible by a careful and attentive contact, a teamwork of give and take, which is lead by the moment.
Just imagine you are under the hands of a caring therapist, who is massaging you like in a „dance“, whose hands and forearms glide over your body in a caressing flow. The whole rhythm of a polynesic dance and the concentrated power of the masseur’s devoting meditation are inside the wavy movements, which turn you inside out, and you will forget whatever was so important just half an hour ago.
By no means is this massage just pure caressing. The therapist invests his whole energy and even uses purposefully his ellbow in order to break knots, tensions and stress. Lomi Lomi Nui Pohaku:
Pohaku has the meaning of „stones“. The stones are heated by steam and glide in the hands of the masseur with long, flowing strokes over the oiled muscles and melt away the tensions. Warmth comes through the tissue, loosens it up and it gets easier to dive into the deeper muscular system. An important part of the Lomi Lomi Pohaku massage is stimulating and energize the energy-, akupressure and chakra-points of the body, which is achieved by lingering of the stones on these centre points. The warmth of the stones is absorbed by the body like the rays of the sun.
Therefore there are two different forms of this massage technique:
Either with or without hot stones.
I only offer Lomi Lomi Nui in four different lenths of time:
1. The trial of 60 minutes is without hot stones.
This offer is especially for children and ill persons.
2. The normal Standard of 100 minutes is without hot stones.
3. The recommendation Standard from 2 hours is with hot stones.
3. The luxury-relax-programme from 3 hours is a combination of both variants.
On request the stones can be left out, of course.
History:
Originally the traditional hawaiian body work was only used by the former wise men, healers and priests of Hawaii, the Kahunas. Whoever had troubles, was on the way of changes or wanted to bring his body into accord, visited these women and men. Herewith the wisdom was acknowledged that with a relaxed and vital body one could meet new tasks and challenges in life with more trust and self-confidence.
Behind the Lomi temple massage lies the philosophy of Huna from Hawaii. People in Hawaii have a deep knowledge about the energies of nature and the connections between human body and spirit. This is reflected in their way of life, their zest for life, but also in this Lomi massage technique.
Huna is the approx. 5000 years old philosophy of life from the hawaiian Kahuna Kupua ("Shaman"). The language and later on also the writing was decoded. Only since the last 20 years it is allowed to teach this philosophy.
